i HAVE AN AMERICAN BULL DOG AND HIS URINE HAS AN EXTREMELY STRONG ODOR AND HE URINATES FOR A LONG TIME WHEN HE DOES. nOW RECENTLY HE STRUGGLES TO PEE AND HE WOULD JUST STAND THERE AND JUST DRIPS WOULD COME DOWN. ITS AS THOUGH SOMETHING IS BLOCKING IT. WHAT COULD POSSIBLY BE THE ISSUE? ALSO HE WAS A VICTIM IN THE DOG FOOD RECALL.
Thanks for your email.
It sounds like your dog has a bladder infection and needs to be seen.
He could have bladder stones, sluge in his bladder. he needs a
urine test, ultra sound the bladder and go from there. He should
possibly be on antibiotics. He diffently needs to be monitored on
the food recall. he could have a stone in the urethra that could
block the urine output which can be an extreme emergency.
